Fire Eclipses Galaxy, 1-0.

Employing the same ball control at mid-field, and a tenacious defense, the Fire continued their undefeated season against a very challenging LA Galaxy squad. The defense was especially tight in front of the goal where the attacking Galaxy forces continually tested the Fire. When Galaxy shots penetrated the fire-lines goalkeepers Cora Sawin and JoJo Walker turned away serious scoring chances.

Not to be outdone by the defense, the Fire swept through the Galaxy shields to create numerous scoring chances and hard shots on goal. Shots on goal were logged by Ronal Gomez, Philip Hart, Caroline Hayes, Evan Aigner, Miranda Goldberg, JoJo Walker and Nathan McIntire and the ferocious counter attacking offense of Kevin Aguilar produced a goal and -- without the excellent Galaxy goalkeeping -- would have led many more goals.
