REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION FOR SPRING 2024 IS NOW OPEN

PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW TO REGISTER YOUR PLAYER

AT THIS TIME MOBILE DEVICES ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH TGS SIGN-UP OR REGISTRATIONS.
YOU MUST USE A DESKTOP OR LAPTOP COMPUTER TO REGISTER.

STEP 1: You will need a parent account to register your child.
*If you do not have an account you will need to create a parent account first by clicking on: PARENT ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

Once you have created your PARENT ACCOUNT

STEP 2: Log into the PLAYER REGISTRATION SIGN IN by clicking on the
**REGISTER NOW button below, when you are signed in, follow the steps below:

Select My Children on the left navigation
Select public programs to search for the program you'd like to register for
Select the child you wish to register
Select the program you wish to register your child to *(Traditional Rec Soccer, Kicks for Kiddos, JR Academy)
Follow the prompts and complete all items required by the program

Traditional Recreational Program Information

Traditional Recreational Soccer Program Overview
* AFU Recreational program relies on Volunteer Coaches for all recreational teams, reach out if you are interested!
* Rec teams are available for Boys and Girls, ages 5 to 18 years old, regardless of playing level or ability
* There are no try-outs for this program
* Training during the week and games on weekends; all are primarily Saturdays but some Sundays
* Parents can choose ONE day a week that practice will not work for your player. We do our best to honor that!
* You have a choice of practice locations: AFU Suwanee at George Pierce Park or AFU Duluth at Bunten Road Park
* Uniforms are not included, however, an AFU rec uniform can be used from one season to the next
Rec Practice times have two time slots: Early practice begins at 5:30 pm and Late practice begins at 7:00 pm
u6 teams practice one night a week and u8, u10, u12, u14, u16, and u17-19 teams practice two nights a week *Review the age group chart to determine your child's playing age group. All players are registered to the correct age group automatically.

U5-U6 Age Group-Size 3 ball

(1) 45-60 minute weekly practice
10-minute quarters, Continuous play, New ball method – no player restarts, Ball goes out of bounds-one of the coaches will put a “new ball” into play.
U7-U8 Age Group-Size 4 ball

(2) 60-minute weekly practice
12-minute quarters game, 5v5 (with a goalkeeper), Proper player restarts (goal kicks, throw-ins, corners, etc.), No punting, No heading.
U9-U10 Age Group-Size 4 ball

(2) 90 min weekly practices, (2) 25 minute25-minute halves, 7v7 with free substitutions, Build Out Line, No punting, No heading.
U11-U12 Age Group-Size 4 ball

Play against Rec teams in our area
(2) 90-minute weekly practices, 40-minute halves for u15/u16 (combined age group) and 45-minute halves for u17-u19 (combined age group), 11 vs. 11 with free substitutions, 18-man roster max.
