Who will be my child's coach?
Our rec teams are coached by volunteers (normally a parent of a player).  We are always in need of coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers.  Please consider volunteering!

How are the teams formed?
Teams are formed from the general pool of registered players.  All players will be placed on age-appropriate teams.
Please note: our u5 and u6 teams are co-ed.

I have registered my child for your rec program. What are the next steps?
You will be contacted by your coach approximately 1 week prior to the first day of practice. In the meantime, be sure your child has the appropriate equipment for the season (an age-appropriate ball, cleats, and shin-guards).

Practice days and times will be provided when Coaches contact players, the week of August 16th.  You may request one night that practice will not work for your family.  This can be done during the registration process.  We do our very best to honor that request.

AFU 1-Day Soccer Program Fall 2021:

  • Sessions are led by AFU Staff Coaches
  • Available to both boys and girls
  • Minimum age 3.  All U4 players will begin in this program
  • Sessions and Games on same day – Saturdays only

Atlanta Fire United’s One-Day Program

We understand that many parents have very busy schedules and that’s why we have created a recreational, development-oriented program that is always on Saturdays at the same time so that you can schedule other activities for your child and family. These are super fun soccer-related training sessions led by Atlanta Fire United staff soccer coaches.

Coaches will use fun activities to work on the technical fundamentals of the game while incorporating skills to improve the physical development of young children. Below you can find the curriculum topics we will focus on. In each session, we will incorporate these skills at the beginning of the session, and end in a game- like atmosphere. The children learn from playing!
