AFU SCCL Summer League Objective

Our primary goal is to provide an unparalleled experience to our players through excellent training and competitive matches.Our focus will be to create an environment in which players will improve technically, become more familiar with their roles and responsibilities specific to their position and have fun while playing the game. Our newly designed curriculum is based on a holistic approach to player development. This approach will challenge the players in every aspect of the game: activation, orientation, learning, implementation.  In addition, the curriculum is periodized to ensure gradual development of players.

Season details

  • Schedule: The regular season will consist of a minimum of 8 matches depending on the playing division and age group. 
  • Season Dates: The regular season will be from June through the end of July.* no games over July 4th weekend.

What is the cost?

  • Full-time players: $424.00
  • *Developmental players: $224.00 (*developmental players (DPs) – training only.)


Cost Includes the Following:
●      Registration/Player Passes
●      Training Fees - 2 nights of training 
●      Coaching Fees
●      Referee Fees 
●      Game Fees NOTE: Developmental Players promoted to match play pay $25 per game fee equaling up to Full-Time Player Final Cost.
●      Futsal training for U11 and U12 teams.

*does not include coach & player travel expenses and uniforms.

Why is AFU choosing SCCL Summer League?
As the most successful Georgia based Super Y League Club our goal is to continue to provide the best for our players and families.  With that said, the newly formed SCCL Summer League (to replace Super Y League) will provide that with a perfect blend of balanced competition, club centric unity, improved scheduling, less travel, and no coaching conflicts.  

What is the goal of the SCCL Summer League?
Our primary goal is to provide an unparalleled experience to our players through excellent training and competitive matches against top clubs in our state during the summer months to enable our players continued development.

What other Georgia Clubs are part of SCCL Summer League?
We are excited to say that our players will have a chance to compete and be measured against talents from the following GA soccer clubs: AFC Lighting, Ambush, Concorde Fire, GSA, NTH, SSA and UFA. 

What players should look to participate in the SCCL Summer league?
Players of all backgrounds are welcome to join the AFU SCCL Summer League.  We encourage players from our ECNL, SCCL as well as Athena/Classic Programs to attend our tryouts and play in the program.

What is the roster size per team?
We will cap our team rosters at 18 players for the 11v11 age group and 14 players for 9v9 age groups.  We are doing this to enable all players to receive the necessary playing time during games.  In age groups with a large number of interested players, we plan on fielding 2 teams.

What are the benefits of participating in SCCL Summer league?
SCCL Summer league will provide a club-centric platform with a balanced level of competition.  All games are local which will keep the overall cost down for our families.  Improved scheduling will enable clubs to avoid coaching conflicts.

How is the training set up?
Our focus will be to create an environment in which players will improve technically, become more familiar with their roles and responsibilities specific to their position and have fun while playing the game. Our newly designed curriculum is based on a holistic approach to player development. This approach will challenge the players in every aspect of the game: activation, orientation, learning, implementation.  In addition, the curriculum is periodized to ensure the gradual development of players.  Our youngest players will continue to have the opportunity to improve their skills by playing Futsal at least once per week.
