IGNITE FUTSAL BY AFU  AND THE GEORGIA FUTSAL LEAGUE

Ignite Futsal by AFU Program will emphasize the learning of technique and skill in a fast-paced environment.  We believe futsal is the perfect addition to our yearly program for the development of our players.  The surface, ball, and futsal environment will foster better ball control, quick passing, and combination play with an emphasis on improvisation, creativity, and skill execution.  Players will be registered through USYF (United States Youth Futsal).  See the full benefits of Futsal training and of our specific program below.. 

This developmental program/futsal league will offer the following:

• This program will also serve as a foundation for next season, where you will get the opportunity to work with next season’s age group coaches 

• One (1x) 60-minute training session per week (evening)

• 5 games during the summer vs other futsal organizations(40 min each) on Futsal courts 

• This is a selection-based program and your team placement will be based on skill level and roster availability

We will play in the Georgia Futsal League (USYF affiliated):  The league will consist of the major futsal programs in GA.   This collaboration will allow for lots of games at the highest quality Georgia has to offer. It will also allow for the smaller and individual Futsal teams to register.  

Each player must register with USYF.  This will cover the  Georgia Futsal League (USYF affiliated) where you will play futsal games against some of the best futsal players and teams in the area. Your membership fee of $15 will be player based allowing you to play in any USYF event or league and covers your insurance for one year.  

Who: Boys and Girls 2019 to 2012 birth years

Cost: Per player: $375.00 (Ignite has an 8 player max per team for less time off court)

Includes: Georgia Futsal League team registration and 2 futsal uniform shirts

Program Format:

• 5 futsal training sessions on the following dates (60-minute sessions): 

  • June 2, 9, 16, 23

  • July 7 

  • First touch, ball control, dribbling, and combination play, are some of the topics covered in the curriculum

• 5 games (scheduled on one of the following weekend dates and could be Saturday or Sunday):

  • June 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 

  • July 11, 12

  • You will play a 40-minute Futsal game each week that will be age and level-appropriate.      

Notes: 

Practice days are Tuesdays.

Game days are Saturday or Sunday

Week of June 29-July 5 off for vacation. 

United Futsal World championship (Orlando Florida July 14-16) (This is not part of our league or fees)

This is an optional summer tournament and we will be looking to take some Ignite teams. This will be decided based on team requests and player availability.  The league will stop the weekend before this event so any teams can attend.
