Sal Martelli 
Director of College Recruiting

Sal Martelli brings a wealth of experience both as a former Division I player at the University of Louisville and as a long-time coach within Atlanta Fire United, where he has spent over 20 years developing players across all levels. He has also coached at the Division I level with Winthrop University, giving him valuable insight into the college game.

What makes Sal especially valuable to our families is his firsthand experience navigating the recruiting process as a parent. He has recently guided his own daughters through this journey, one currently playing at the University of Alabama and another set to begin her collegiate career this fall. This gives him a unique understanding of what players and families go through at every stage.

Sal’s deep connection to our club, combined with his experience and approachable, family-oriented perspective, will provide tremendous support to our players as they pursue opportunities at the next level. We are confident that his leadership will further strengthen our college placement efforts and overall player pathway.
